Where are you in your journey?
Every couple arrives with a different story. Pick the one closest to yours to see where we usually begin.
Start with answers, not assumptions
If you have been trying for 12 months, or 6 months if the woman is over 35, a fertility check for both partners is the right first step. Many couples need simpler treatment than they expect.
Usually the first steps
- Ultrasound and AMH test for egg reserve
- Semen analysis
- Check that the fallopian tubes are open
Treatments that may help
Your plan is decided with your doctor after the first consultation.
A careful second look at what happened
We review your earlier cycles in detail: how the ovaries responded, how the embryos grew, and the health of the uterus. Small changes to the plan often matter.
Usually the first steps
- Review of previous cycle and embryo reports
- Hysteroscopy to check the uterine lining
- Day-5 embryos, and genetic testing where it helps
Treatments that may help
Your plan is decided with your doctor after the first consultation.
Male factor is common, and very treatable
A male factor is involved in around half of all couples with infertility. ICSI lets the embryologist choose one healthy sperm for each egg.
Usually the first steps
- Repeat semen analysis in our lab
- Hormone tests and a urology opinion where needed
- Sperm retrieval if there is no sperm in the semen
Treatments that may help
Your plan is decided with your doctor after the first consultation.
Preserve your fertility on your timeline
Egg quality falls with age, so freezing eggs earlier gives you more choice later. Before cancer treatment or surgery, eggs, sperm or embryos can be frozen at short notice.
Usually the first steps
- AMH test and ultrasound to estimate egg reserve
- Around two weeks of injections
- A short egg collection, then frozen storage
Treatments that may help
Your plan is decided with your doctor after the first consultation.
Finding the reason behind repeated loss
Two or more miscarriages deserve a full work-up. Causes can be genetic, hormonal, in the shape of the uterus or in blood clotting, and many can be treated.
Usually the first steps
- Genetic tests for both partners
- Hysteroscopy to check the uterus
- Hormone, thyroid and clotting tests
Treatments that may help
Your plan is decided with your doctor after the first consultation.

What to expect
One IVF cycle, day by day
A typical cycle with a fresh day-5 transfer. Your own calendar may differ, and frozen transfers follow a separate one.
- Day 1
Stimulation begins
Daily hormone injections for 8–12 days help several eggs mature. Most women do these at home.
- Days 5–12
Monitoring scans
Short ultrasound visits every few days to time everything precisely.
- Day 12
Trigger injection
One final injection matures the eggs. Collection is booked about 36 hours later.
- Day 14
Egg collection
A 20–30 minute procedure under light anaesthesia. You go home the same day.
- Day 14
Fertilisation
In our lab, by IVF or ICSI. Embryos are checked the next morning and every day after.
- Day 19
Embryo transfer
The best day-5 embryo is placed in the uterus. It is painless and takes minutes.
- Day 30
Pregnancy test
A blood test about 11 days after transfer gives the answer.

Questions
What couples ask us first
Short answers to the questions we hear most. Your doctor will go through your own situation in detail.
How do we know if we need IVF?
Not every couple does. After tests for both partners, many are helped by medicines to time ovulation or by IUI. IVF is usually advised when the tubes are blocked, sperm counts are very low, egg reserve is low, or simpler treatment has not worked.
What is the difference between IUI, IVF and ICSI?
In IUI, washed sperm is placed in the uterus and fertilisation happens naturally inside the body. In IVF, eggs are collected and mixed with sperm in the lab. ICSI is a type of IVF where one sperm is injected into each egg, used mainly for male-factor infertility.
How long does one IVF cycle take?
About four to six weeks from the first injection to the pregnancy test. Stimulation takes 8 to 12 days, egg collection follows, embryos grow in the lab for up to five days, and the pregnancy test is done about 11 days after transfer.
How much does IVF cost in Jaipur?
It depends on your plan: the medicines you need, whether ICSI, blastocyst culture or embryo freezing is used, and how many transfers are needed. After your first consultation and tests we explain the package and its cost, so you know it before you begin.
Is IVF painful?
Most people find it manageable. The injections use fine needles and most women give them at home. Egg collection is done under light anaesthesia, and the embryo transfer feels similar to a routine internal examination.
What is the age limit for IVF in India?
Under the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021, IVF can be offered to women aged 21 to 50 and men aged 21 to 55. Within these limits, the woman’s age is the main factor in the chance of success, so it is best not to wait too long.
How many injections are needed in IVF?
Usually one or two small injections a day for 8 to 12 days to help several eggs mature, then a single trigger injection before egg collection. Most women learn to give them at home.
Are babies born after IVF healthy?
Yes, the vast majority are. The overall risk of birth defects is only slightly higher than with natural conception, and part of that is linked to the causes of infertility rather than to IVF itself.
Is ICSI better than IVF?
ICSI is the right choice for male-factor infertility or when fertilisation failed in a previous cycle. For couples without these problems, standard IVF works as well, and your doctor will advise which suits you.
What should I do after embryo transfer?
Carry on with normal, gentle activity, take your medicines exactly as prescribed, and avoid heavy lifting, smoking and alcohol. Bed rest does not improve the chances. A blood pregnancy test is done about 9 to 11 days after a blastocyst transfer.
What are our chances of success?
The biggest factors are the woman’s age and egg reserve, then the cause of infertility and embryo quality. Your doctor will explain your personal chances after reviewing your tests, rather than quoting a single number for everyone.
Can we consult online before visiting?
Yes. You can book a video consultation and share your reports beforehand. This is helpful if you live outside Jaipur, so that your first visit to the clinic is already planned.
