What one IVF cycle includes

An IVF cycle is a series of steps over four to six weeks. A clear quote should tell you which of these are included:

  1. Consultation and tests for both partners before treatment
  2. Stimulation medicines, the daily injections that help several eggs mature
  3. Monitoring scans and blood tests during stimulation
  4. Egg collection under light anaesthesia
  5. Laboratory work: sperm preparation, fertilisation and growing the embryos
  6. Embryo transfer
  7. Pregnancy blood test about two weeks later

Medicines are often priced separately because the dose differs from woman to woman.

What changes the cost

  • Medicine dose: depends on age, egg reserve (AMH) and the protocol your doctor chooses
  • ICSI: injecting sperm into each egg adds a laboratory procedure
  • Blastocyst culture: growing embryos to day 5
  • Embryo freezing and storage, and any later frozen embryo transfer
  • Genetic testing of embryos (PGT), when it is advised
  • Procedures before IVF, such as hysteroscopy or laparoscopy
  • Donor eggs or sperm, where needed
  • The number of cycles: some couples conceive in the first cycle, others need more than one

IUI costs much less than IVF because there is no egg collection or embryo lab work. It suits younger couples with open tubes and mild sperm problems.

ICSI costs more than standard IVF because each egg is injected by an embryologist.

A frozen embryo transfer usually costs less than a fresh cycle, because stimulation and egg collection have already been done.

Egg freezing involves stimulation and egg collection, followed by a yearly storage fee.

How we explain your cost

A fair estimate starts with knowing what you need. At your first consultation your doctor reviews your history and reports and recommends tests. Once the plan is clear, our team explains your package, what it includes, and what could add to it, before you start.

If something changes during treatment, for example a different medicine dose or a recommendation to freeze embryos, we explain it at the time.

Questions to ask any IVF clinic

  • Which tests, scans and procedures are included in the package?
  • Are medicines included, and what is the likely range for me?
  • Is ICSI included or charged separately?
  • What do embryo freezing, storage and a frozen transfer cost?
  • What happens to the cost if the cycle is cancelled or no embryos are available for transfer?
  • Who will do my egg collection and embryo transfer?

Comparing the answers tells you more than comparing headline prices.

Paying for treatment

Ask our team about payment options when you visit. Most health insurance policies in India do not cover IVF, so check your own policy and keep your bills and reports for any claim.

Questions

How much does IVF cost in Jaipur?

It depends on your plan: the medicine dose you need, whether ICSI or blastocyst culture is used, embryo freezing, and how many transfers you need. After your consultation and tests we explain your package and its cost before you begin.

Is ICSI more expensive than IVF?

Yes. ICSI adds a laboratory step in which the embryologist injects a sperm into each egg, so it costs more than standard IVF.

Why do IVF medicine costs vary so much?

The dose depends on age, egg reserve and how the ovaries respond. Two women on the same protocol can need quite different amounts.

Is a frozen embryo transfer cheaper than a fresh cycle?

Usually, yes. A frozen transfer does not need stimulation or egg collection, only preparation of the lining, thawing and the transfer.

Does health insurance cover IVF in India?

Most policies do not, though this is changing slowly. Check your own policy with your insurer.

How many IVF cycles might we need?

Some couples conceive in the first cycle and others need more than one. Your chances per cycle depend mostly on the woman's age and egg reserve, and your doctor will discuss them with you.
